New job!
After Shell announcing $40bn profit, they announced the absorption of their renewable portfolio company – which I was a part of. But as some of you may have noticed from my LinkedIn, I got a new job! I now work for a gaming studio which produces one of the only game in its class and is a part of the SEGA Group – yes as in Sonic the Hedgehog! My primary focus will be the implementation of an FP&A tool called Vena.
More exams!
As you might have read in my previous update, I am currently undergoing my Chartered Accountancy qualification and I have pledged to focus on my exams more in 2023. Over the last few months I have completed (and passed) my Performance Management exam, and have just completed my Taxation exam, with my Financial Reporting exam to follow soon.
I did mention I may put out ACCA related content on here, but due to the lack of time, I might not do this just yet.
Ramadan Mubarak
As if losing a job, starting a new job, and studying isn’t enough – it’s currently the holy month of Ramadan! I have been less focused on extracurricular projects and even gym to focus on spiritual enlightenment.
Web related content for the remainder of 2023?
Well my domain and hosting is up for renewal which gives me ideas to venture out and really learn about cloud-based products. I may write content about this, including how to get free Google Cloud Hosting for WordPress. In addition, Bricks Builder has put out quite a few updates recently, so I might revamp the site using those new features – again, I will share of course.
