In my previous post, I excitedly shared my plans to revamp my website. Today, I am thrilled to announce that my vision has become a reality. The process involved a complete redesign and rebuild, where I meticulously crafted re-usable components that ensure consistency, and most importantly, enhanced accessibility for all users.
Consistent and Bricks Builder Friendly
I have painstakingly tried to craft each element to ensure visual harmony throughout the website. By using consistent colours, typography, and spacing, these components provide a polished and professional look to any webpage.
Additionally, I have optimized these components to be first and foremost built with Bricks Builder. Now, Bricks developers can seamlessly integrate these components into their projects, allowing for quick and efficient website creation. This compatibility eliminates the need for tedious customization and empowers users to focus on their content and overall website strategy.
Supporting Keyboard Accessibility
Accessibility is a fundamental aspect of modern web design. Recognizing the importance of inclusive experiences, I have tried to prioritise keyboard accessibility in my component designs. Each element within my re-usable components library is thoughtfully crafted to ensure smooth navigation and usability for individuals who rely on keyboard controls or assistive technologies.
By (trying to) adhering to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and implementing best practices, I have made most of these components accessible to a wider range of users.
Sharing the Components
Now comes the most exciting part: sharing these re-usable components with the web development community. I firmly believe in the power of collaboration and open-source contributions, which is why I have made these components readily available for anyone to use. With just a click of a button, you can easily integrate these components into your own projects and enhance the accessibility and consistency of your website.
You can view the live components here.
I plan on adding at least 1 component a month!
I encourage you to explore these components and integrate them into your own projects. Let’s work together to create a web that is not only visually stunning but also accessible to everyone. Together, we can shape the future of web design and build a more inclusive online experience for all.
