Most of my work sits in the gap between a finance team's question and the system that could answer it: usually a model, sometimes a tool, occasionally a whole reporting pipeline. Eleven years across FP&A, BI tooling and commercial finance, in agencies, energy, gaming and now transport.
The developer half started as a way to stop doing the same reconciliation twice. It has since become half the job. Everything I build assumes I won't be there in eighteen months, and that whoever inherits it won't have the original brief.
