Solved: ROG Armoury Crate button and system controls not working

Here's how I got my ROG button to launch Armoury Crate as it's supposed to and also get the system controls working!

The steps!

  1. Search for your ASUS ROG system’s model number here
  2. You may see a list of available drivers, click EXPAND ALL
  3. If you have Armoury Crate already installed then uninstall this and search for Armoury Crate & Aura Creator Installer in the driver page – download and install this – do NOT download it from the generic Armoury Crate page!
  4. Now download and install the Armoury Crate Control Interface driver (NB. there may be multiple versions, but I found installing Version 1 works)
  5. Now download and install the ASUS Smart Display Control driver
  6. Restart your system and you are done!
